Katrina Kaif in Stunning Lehenga Choli

Katrina Kaif walks the ramp for Vikram Padnis at Gitanjali Style fest in a blue and red Lehenga. The red corset/choli has heavy embellishments on empire waistline and neck, and have banarsi patch at the front while the blue Lehenga is embellished with silver antique work. The lehenga is stiched in mermaid style. And the border of the dupatta is also embroidered very finely with rhinestones which gives very pleasant looks to Katrina.

Lara Dutta in White Lehenga Choli

Fashion Designer Anjalee And Arjun Kapoor presented their women collection at Star Studded Fashion Show. Lara Dutta added the glamour by walking the ramp. She wore a White Mermaid Lehenga with v-neckline and sleeveless choli with sheer dupatta sprangled with white and aqua blue crystals. The multiple string beads and crystal belt on the waist and her long hair set in ringlets which brought softness and charm on her face. I actually quite liked Lara in this very wearable Bridal dress.

The pleasing red Saree is designed by Anjalee And Arjun Kapoor, looking so much sexy on Manissha. The saree is simple and elegant having some fancy embroidery on pallu and single strap golden blouse which is all the way embroidered with golden zari,
sequin, kora etc. And the other multi-shaded saree is desinged by Manish Malhotra. The saree fabric is banarsi or we can also say it jamawar, having silver embroidery work on it. The blouse have long sleeves and round deep neck. The  contrast bindi and earings looks great on Manissha.

Designing Dories! Saree Back Strings..

Dori, Dorise, Blouse Back Designs!

There is absolutely nothing sexier than a beautiful blouse with dorise (strings at the back). Dorise on Saree Blouse create an ultra glam chic look that is sexy and stylish at the same time. Whether worn on an elegant sari or a casual one, they just work!

One important thing to keep in mind is that there is a certain way of having dories stitched on when designing a blouse. Firstly, pay attention to the fabric. Avoid dories on silk or thick cotton blouses as they ruin the fitting of the blouse. Other fabrics like cheffonne have a better fitting with dories.

Secondly, when designing dories please make sure that the borders are not close together. See that they are relatively far apart so that when the dories are tied they fit well and don’t look like something has just been packed in them. Incorporating dories in sari blouses or salvar kameeses has a very feminine and playful look. It is also a huge Bollywood style, try it out!

Bindi's Are Going Places!

Bindi, Tika or Bindiya!
The traditional dot that was once seen as a symbol of a woman being married is now transformed into what we know as body art.

These little dots are now no more for the forehead, they are used as embellishments on the arms, stomachs, back, naval etc. however now bindis are gone a step further. They are also used to decorate the more private parts of the body.

Low and behold they are called
Intimate Bindis! Surprisingly they have also managed to gain quite popularity because of its adhesive strength. This is as creative as it gets!

Eyelash Bindis are also pushing their way through the bindi trend…

The Bold and The Beautiful!

The one way of making a true fashion statement is by wearing saris with big, bold prints.

Bold print saris are often making it in and out of the fashion scene, depending on the latest style and the seasons.

However, one thing to keep in mind is that as long as you pick prints that work well together and colors that compliment your skin, you absolutely cannot go wrong.

Some ladies often feel intimidated by bolder prints, therefore it’s important to know that with latest styles and the evolution of fashion bolder prints now tend to have a more retro look.

Sometimes they involve 'bling' such as crystals and rhinestones, they maybe netted, they may also have a more metallic look in addition to sequences and paints.

Its always a great idea to think about having a really beautiful bold looking sari with extravagant prints in your wardrobe, they look great when worn to cocktail parties, eveningwear or even festivals.

Dare to be bold and make your statement with style!
